We're here to help you get the most out of Envelup
Envelope budgeting is a simple budgeting method where you divide your income into different "envelopes" (categories) like groceries, rent, entertainment, etc. Each envelope gets a specific amount of money for the month, and you can only spend what's in each envelope.
Envelup brings this traditional method to the digital age with automatic tracking, bank reconciliation, and powerful reporting features.
The split transaction calculator lets you divide a single receipt across multiple budget envelopes. For example, if you shop at a grocery store and buy both food and household items, you can split that receipt between your "Groceries" and "Household" envelopes.
The calculator automatically handles tax calculations and can mark certain items as tax-exempt (like food in some states).
Net worth tracking helps you see the big picture of your financial health by tracking your assets (savings, investments, retirement accounts) and liabilities (mortgages, loans, credit cards).
Envelup calculates your net worth monthly and shows trends over time so you can see if you're building wealth or need to adjust your strategy.
The subscriptions feature helps you track all your recurring payments like Netflix, phone bills, insurance, etc. Whether they're billed monthly, quarterly, or annually, Envelup breaks them down to a monthly cost to help with budgeting.
You can see at a glance how much you're spending on subscriptions per category and per year.
Bank reconciliation helps you match your manual transactions with actual bank transactions from Plaid. This ensures your budget matches your bank account and helps catch any missed transactions or discrepancies.
Simply connect your bank accounts through Plaid, and Envelup will help you match transactions automatically.
